A bird of fir-wings is a novel on the liberation war of Bangladesh, where the writer Rahim Shah has depicted a bird-character allegorically, which fought against the Pakistan army as well as the anti-liberation force inside the country to help the liberation force – freedom fighters. The bird came from a planet Crypton with immense power. It used that power to fight the war in the field, which strengthened the war of freedom fighters.
It had wings illuminating in many colors and would come suddenly when freedom fighters needed in the war-field. The writer brought in the story the heinous characters of the liberation war who collaborated with the Pakistan army and killed hundreds of innocent people of the country. He depicted a woman freedom fighter who was a housewife of a locality in Chattogram. One fine morning in December in 1971, the country had become independent. The story will take the readers into a world of dreams, where they will find an immense love for their country.
