With a 100-500V range, the INGCO HSDT1408 Test Pencil detects AC current in live wires. It uses a 3x140mm slotted tip for terminal screws and circuit breakers. The internal neon bulb glows when you touch a hot phase line.
Place your finger on the metal cap while touching the tip to a wire. The circuit completes through your body to light the bulb safely.
No batteries required for this voltage tester pencil. It draws power directly from the AC line it's testing.
