Priyamvada Mehra was born and grew up in New Delhi, India. She studied English Literature and Social Work at Delhi University. After her move to Europe, what began as a painful introspection transformed into a story that demanded to be told, Her debut memoir, The Cost of a Promised Afterlife, was thus born. Priyamvada is the founder of Gentle Boys Club, a nonprofit organization working to foster emotional intelligence and healthy masculinity among young boys in India. She now lives between India and Amsterdam, delicately exploring the idea of home and identity.
