ফ্ল্যাপে লিখা কথা

ভূমিকা
২০০৭ সালে আমাদের পঞ্চ দলের আচমকা সিদ্ধান্তে আমাকেও শরিক হতে হয়েছিল। ভিয়েতনাম যাবার আগে আমি মোটেও এ ভ্রমণ নিয়ে রোমাঞ্চিত ছিলাম না। কিন্তু যাওয়ার পর মনে হয়েছিল, ওখানে না গেলে অনেক কিছুই অদেখা আর অজানা থেকে যেতো।
ভিয়েতনামের দুইটি শহর মিলে মাত্র ৮ দিনের ঝটিকা সফর নিয়ে ৮ পর্বের ভ্রমণচিত্র তৈরি আবার নতুন করে সাজাতে হলো এই ভ্রমণকাহিনী লেখার জন্য। ইতোমধ্যে’ সাপ্তাহিক ২০০০’ আর ‘দৈনিক ডেসটিনির’ দু’টো ঈদ সংখ্যায় খন্ডে খন্ডে এ লেখাটি পুরোই ছাপা হয়ে গিয়েছিল পুস্তকাকারে প্রকাশের জন্য আমি শুধু অধ্যায়গুলো সংযোজন করে দিয়েছি ভ্রমণের কাল অনুযায়ী।
আমার ভ্রমণচিত্রের মূল পান্ডুলিপি তৈরিতে আমার গবেষণা সহযোগী আরিফুল ইসলাম পল্টু আমাকে অনেক সাহায্য করেছে। এছাড়া আমার পরিবারের স্বজনেরা এবং অফিসের সহকর্মীদের (আমার অগ্রজপ্রতিম আব্দুর রউফসহ) আন্তরিকতা আমার সবসময়ই মনে পড়ে। আর আমার পিপি মেটদের উৎসাহতো লা-জবাব! ধন্যবাদ তাদেরকেও।
