Professor Akhter Hussain has been a faculty member at the Department of Public Administration, University of Dhaka for more than three decades. He was also a Member of the National Human Rights Commission, Bangladesh. He worked for three years as a Program Specialist at the Continuing Education Center, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. Dr. Hussain studied at Rajshahi Cadet College, University of Dhaka, and Panjab University, Chandigarh. His interests center around issues of politics, governance, development, and human rights.
