লেখক জাহাঙ্গীরনগর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সরকার ও রাজনীতি বিভাগ থেকে কৃতিত্বের সাথে স্নাতক এবং স্নাতকোত্তর ডিগ্রি অর্জন করে বরিশাল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে রাষ্ট্রবিজ্ঞান বিভাগে ২০১৫ সালে প্রভাষক হিসেবে যোগদান করেন। বর্তমানে তিনি একই বিভাগে সহকারী অধ্যাপক পদে কর্মরত রয়েছেন। তাঁর গবেষণার বিষয় Political Violence. Religious Extremism and Political Conflict, Religion and Corruption, Race and Ethnic Politics, Religion and Politics, Political Sociology। এ বিষয়ে জাতীয় এবং আন্তর্জাতিক জার্নালে তাঁর প্রকাশিত বিভিন্ন প্রবন্ধ রয়েছে তাঁর বর্তমান গবেষণা প্রকল্পগুলোর মধ্যে "Constructing the Others of Ethnic Communities by the Dominant Community in Bangladesh: How Do They Do It?," "Examining Religious Extremism and Political Violence of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh," এবং "Religious Extremism and Political Violence in Myanmar: An Understanding from Rohingya Crisis" অন্যতম।
