Dr. Abdullah Al Faruque is currently working as a Professor, Department of Law of the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. He is a former Dean, Faculty of Law and Head of the Department of Law, University of Chittagong. He was a Visiting Fellow at the Macquarie Law School, Macquarie University, Australia in 2017 and he taught public international law for one year. He holds LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M. degree from University of Dhaka and PhD degree from the University of Dundee, UK. He completed his PhD with Commonwealth Scholarship. He was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Dundee during October 2009- March 2010 under Commonwealth Academic Staff Fellowship. He has authored and edited eleven books. He has also published around 70 articles in national and international referred law journals.
