RIVER CURRENT OF BANGLADESH FROM RUIN TO THRONE

In this book an age old practice, adopted by some

remotely stationed residents away from the national electricity

grid, to harness the electricity from the small canals flowing by

the side of their properties have been recalled, strengthened by

the engineering students research on the subject, confirming

that the energy from the river water flow have scientific basis

for delivering MW level electricity generation through use of

Turbines that could now be best suited for Bangladesh. The

relevant research studies, along with the factual status of the

energy sector in the country having profound impact on

national economy and the possible bleak future with fast

depleting indigenous gas deposits without any ray of hope for

the discovery of any new international standard gas fields and

other relevant facts have been focused and other contemporary

published opinions by eminent scholars, economists, engineers

and scientists have been borrowed, quoted or reproduced in the

book. The author is indebted to the respective sources of

contribution be it newspaper reports, Technical, Economic or

Thesis Papers published in journals, meeting references or any

correspondences on the subject that have been referred or used

in the book. In some cases it had not been possible to contact

individually with the authors, nevertheless their contribution to

frame the book is equally acknowledged and the author would

like to express his gratitude to all concerned.

While preparing the book the author had regular contact

and blessed with many valuable improvements in the thought
