However, with the hope that this book will help some inquisitive minds to quench their thirst of knowledge and transform the reader to explorer of newer inventions, I took the challenge. Fortunately I could infect Dr Razia Rahman, Proprietor, Jagrity Publication, with my perception which made publication of this book possible.

The third edition of the book will provide up-to-date information in the rapidly changing physiological field of blood and its components. Recent informations have been extracted from the original works, and reviews from the experts and references have been updated accordingly. Attempts have been made to update almost every chapter with in-depth criticisms and suggestions from the reviewers.
