The book Soil Mechanics has been developed as a text book for the students of Civil Engineering. The sequence of chapters presented is in accordance with UGC approved curriculum for Civil Engineering degree. Fundamentals on soil mechanics are explained in the simplest manner with lot of example problems. At the end of each chapter problems and descriptive questions are added to be solved by students. Numerous illustrative diagrams, tables, charts, photographs and graphs have been presented in this book for better explanation of topics.
