It was a pleasant March morning. Manoj was still asleep on the terrace. The sun had appeared on the horizon, its rays falling on his face. After dawdling for a while when he finally got up, his eyes spotted Vishnu.
His friend and classmate was applying himself assiduously, no doubt to maths sums, on his own terrace. Manoj should have been doing the same; the class twelve board examinations were beginning today and mathematics was the very first paper.
