অনেক দিন পর বই পড়লাম। অসাধারন লাগলো, গল্পের প্লটগুলো চমৎকার সাজিয়েছেন। ভবিষ্যতে আরো কিছু সুন্দর কাজ উপহার দিবেন ইনশাআল্লাহ।

Finished this book at one go. Although the writer claims this doesn't technically fall under the "suspense thriller" genre, but this is a true page-turner. As the preamble states, this novel is actually based on a short story previously written by the writer and it evolves around the main characters of the short story and what happened to them. So, in a way we actually know the real truth behind the mystery from that even before starting this novel. But the novel still keeps you hooked till the end and to me that was the best quality of the writer's craft. The portrayal of critical elements of relationships intertwined with trust, betrayal, friendship, love, revenge, remorse was effortless and very impressive for a first time novelist. How she deconstructed the main characters was a treat for me specially the female protagonist's past and how that made her the person she became in her adulthood felt very realistic. Honestly, I have read a good Bangla novel after a long long time that I can without any doubt recommend to others. This book truly resonates the famous Jane Austen quote, "If a book is well-written, I always find it too short." Do give it a try and I guarantee you wouldn't be able to put it down until you finish it. :)

বই পড়ার অভ্যেস অনেকদিনের কিন্তু সময়ে সেই অভ্যেসেও ধুল জমেছে, তাই আজ পড়ি কাল পড়ি করছিলাম, যাই হোক এই বইটা পড়া শুরু, পড়তে পড়তে ডুবে গিয়েছি এমন, যে শেষ না করে উপায় নেই, লেখিকার স্বার্থকতা তো এখানেই। অনেক দিন পর ন্যাকামো ছাড়া নতুন আঙ্গীকের কিছু পড়লাম, শুভকামনা নিরন্তর ।

The book limpidly delineates falsehood, greediness, self-centricity and trickery to describe how love is defeated to acquisitiveness. As the suspense builds up, the Baghbandi sets off an amazing chain of events to debunk the abhorrent motives lied in disguise of goodness that reflects present society. It is an easy to read and incredibly engrossing book which shows startling originality. Finger crossed for the writer for the next writing.
