Product Specification & Summary
"Jane Eyre" Taken from the last flap of the book:
‘Jane Eyre', the first published novel of Charlotte Brontë, has immortalised the writer's name. It is the story of Jane, an orphan who was dependent upon her Aunt Reed. Mrs. Reed's attitude to her was not at all cordial. At one stage she sent her to Mr. Brocklehurst's boarding school, a charitable institution for orphans and the poor man's children. Jane spent six years at this school as a student and later two years at the same school as teacher. Later she managed to get an appointment as a governess to Adele who was brought up by Mr. Rochester, the owner of a mansion named Thornfield Hall. Then she fell in love with Mr. Rochester and discovered the impediments to their lawful marriage. So she quitted Thornfield Hall and went through much weal and woe. Afterwards some surprising development took place and Jane could be able to marry Mr. Rochester.
