ABOUT THE AUTHOR The author was brought up and educated in Dhaka. He obtained his masters degree with honors from University of Dhaka (DU). He was a resident of Dubai, UAE for nearly four decades. During this time he worked for several multinational insurance companies in various capacities. Name of Insurance Companies are as follows: 1) The Netherlands Insurance Co. (Nationale- Nederlanden) 2) Delta Lloyd (A subsidiary of Commercial Union), 3) General Accident Insurance Co. He is a Fellow (FCII) of The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) London, an Associate (AIRM) of The Institute of Risk Management (IRM), London, an Associate (ACIArb) of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), London and is a life member of the Insur- ance Institute of India (III).
